Community Hearing Screening
Free hearing screenings at daycare centers and preschools in the Greater Los Angeles Area are available through John Tracy Clinic.
- Children birth through age 5 are screened for possible hearing loss and ear conditions which can interfere with a child's ability to learn and communicate. The preschool years are a critical time in the development of spoken language. Parents and preshool staff are provided with information and referrals for children at risk for hearing loss.
- Audiometrists go to local preschools and day care centers in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The Program serves over 16,000 children in 400 schools.
