My son had a recent audiograme shows bilatral moderate to severe sensorineural mixed hearing losses up to (66db).ALIYVAR JUNG A GOVERMENT ORAGNISATION,after HAT suggested for ALPS TURBO hearing aid for both the ear. Previously he was using SIEMENS 254PP. Out of two one was misplaced and one is not working (under repir). Please advise which hearing aid is reliable and suitible for my son. how about ALPS company. Is their aid reliable? My son is already enrolled in preschool distance education in JTC. enrolment no. P****.for refence the audiograme is already with them. recent audiograme is exactly matching of 2002. regards amrit

To the best of my knowledge, ALPS hearing aids are made by Siemens. And, Siemens has a manufacturing plant in Karnataka, India. You might want to contact Siemens directly to discuss amplification for Amit. The manager of audiology and marketing is Taranbir Kochar, and he can be reached by telephone at 91 80 8410078. Siemens has quite a few models which would be appropriate for Amrit's hearing loss and I would be interested in what they recommend. Please let me know after you contact them.
