If your child is over five years of age

Dear Parent,

You expressed interest in our Correspondence Course for parents of children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing. John Tracy Clinic materials are specifically designed for the preschool population, ages birth to five years old. Children who are school age, regardless of their language level, should use an approach that is appropriate for their developmental and learning needs.

Since our programs are not appropriate for your child, we recommend that you contact the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf www.agbell.org, 3417 Volta Pl. NW; Washington, DC 20002. Their publications catalog has wonderful materials for purchase which are appropriate for school-age children. You might also contact other OPTION schools at www.oraldeafed.org. Many of these private programs provide services to children over five years old who have a hearing loss.

My best wishes.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Ambrosi, Interim Director
