John Tracy Clinic's Parent Evening Workshops recently began for the Fall 2011 term. The first workshop covered Audiology and for many parents, began their journey into becoming an expert and an advocate regarding their child's hearing loss. The second workshop of the evening was broadcast over the web to the Las Vegas parent's group, Hello LOVE. These workshops are the foundation of JTC's parent-centered, integrated education approach for families of children with hearing loss. After the workshops, parents also attended Support Group, another unique component of the JTC experience.

JTC has begun to receive some notes from parents returning home from International Summer Sessions; here is an excerpt:
I love being home but I wish you guys weren’t completely across the continent….. I have a lot of people asking about our trip and wanting details but I have trouble putting it into words…. It was magical…. And usually when I say that, people interpret it by connecting it with Disneyland…but not exactly what I was referring to. Our children grew so much in that short amount of time… as did we. It’s amazing how 3 short weeks could have such an impact on our lives.
