Distance Learning for Parents is free of charge. Parents, guardians and foster parents of a child age five and under with a bilateral hearing loss can enroll to use the Course immediately.
The lessons are designed for infants and preschool children. A family of a child over the age of five can check Links to find information on educational programs and community services.
Enrolling online or downloading the form can be done anytime. If parents do not have internet access they can request to get a form by mail or fax. (Use numbers in Contacts section.)
Courses are described in the Overview. Details about Distance Learning are in Answers. For a question not addressed in that section, parents can contact pals@jtc.org.
After enrolling parents receive a password and enrollment number to download the first lesson. If the family chooses to use regular mail the first lesson is sent.
After completing each lesson parents receive individualized, personal letters in response to their reports. Correspondence provides parents with ongoing encouragement!
