For teachers working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, the TIES (Teacher In-Service and Educational Support) Workshops offer teachers of children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing free workshops during the academic year.
These workshops give teachers innovative ideas and methods to help their students excel. With outstanding guest speakers as workshop presenters, these workshops also allow teachers to develop strategies to meet classroom challenges, build a support network, and exchange ideas. All TIES Workshops are FREE.
How many English Language Learners do you have in your class, or on your caseload?
Are you comfortable finding strategies and activities to help them develop language?
Come share your knowledge, and ask questions of those who are doing this important work.
Due to the generosity of the Mara W. Breech Foundation all TIES Workshops are free of charge, including dinner & educational materials. CEUs are available for a fee. Attendance at all 6 workshops, plus journal entries required for CEUs.
Seating is limited. To ensure that appropriate accommodations are made for you, please inform us by the Monday of the week of TIES whether you will be joining us for dinner and whether you will need an interpreter, and specify sign or oral. Also, please cancel these requests by the Monday of the week of TIES so that we can adjust our accommodations.
