JTC’s 75th Anniversary Held May 6, 2018
It was quite fitting that John Tracy Clinic celebrated its 75th Anniversary Gala at Disney Studios, Legends Plaza under Walt Disney’s office. Walt Disney was one of the first and foremost supporters of our founder, Louise Treadwell Tracy (wife of the famous Hollywood legend, Spencer Tracy). Walt and Mrs. Tracy shared that deep passion for children and pushing the boundaries of imagination.
Upon arrival at Disney Studios, more than 250 guests walked the Red Carpet. They strolled through a curated Memory Lane exhibit showcasing original photographs paying homage to Walt and JTC’s unique Hollywood connection. The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles kicked the evening program off with a fabulous performance. Guests dined and enjoyed a selection of wines donated by Bodega Vistalba of Argentina.
Guests were then captivated by the Caballero family as they shared their story and how JTC has impacted their lives. After being moved to tears, Zack Krone, auctioneer, livened up the festivities raising more than $180,000 for the families JTC serves on a daily basis.
The evening culminated with honoring Rian Johnson, writer, and director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Rian, introduced by famous actor Joseph Gordon Levitt, was acknowledged for supporting the 75th Anniversary Gala and for his commitment to John Tracy Clinic’s future.
