Cathleen Mathes Appointed New President of JTC
After a comprehensive search process, John Tracy Center’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Cathleen (Cat) Mathes as JTC’s new President and CEO. Ms. Mathes will step into this role this summer after a successful transition, as current President and CEO Gaston Kent plans to retire after more than eight years of service to our community.
In nearly two decades of experience, Ms. Mathes has become a respected hearing loss professional and a fixture of the JTC community. Her unique skill set and extensive experience in program coordination and hearing loss education make her an ideal choice to guide JTC into this next chapter.
“John Tracy Center is an exceptional organization,” Ms. Mathes says. “I am privileged to continue to serve the JTC families as well as to grow the impact and influence our organization has in our community both locally and globally.”
“We are deeply grateful for the insight and excellence that Gaston Kent brought to JTC,” Michael Barker, Chair of the Board of Directors, says. “We welcome this next step in JTC’s eighth decade of service to children and families. We are highly confident that, under Cat’s leadership, JTC will continue to flourish."
